HOLY *insert here* One star is being too NICE!!!! THIS PLACE IS THE WORST RESTAURANT IVE EVER BEEN TO. The WORST customer experience I HAVE EVER HAD! The manager must be creating fake reviews because there is no possible way that this location is almost 5 stars. NO POSSIBLE WAY. 12am we walk in. Order waters, milkshakes and our meals. It took 45 min for our waiter to bring water to our table. As I watched our meal sit at the counter for 15 minutes. Milkshakes aren't in sight. I saw my waiter about 2 times the whole night. And basically an hour to get our milkshakes. One of the burgers at the table were cold of course because it sat at the counter for forever. And to top it off the bun had finger holes in it! Like someone played with it before being served. When my friend told the waitress(not even our waiter, because he couldn't handle making milkshakes, getting water, and food for us alone) that his burger was cold, the cook had the nerve to say it isn't cold. Excuse me? If the customer isn't happy with the temperature, he isn't happy. And if it wasn't sitting at the counter for 15 minutes, it probably wouldn't be cold. The organization in this location is a disgrace. The manager was no where to be found for about 40 minutes. Customers waiting to pay were lined up waiting to pay, but that meant for one of the waiters to stop what they were doing, help at the register to then return back to angry customers who are waiting impatiently. ONLY 2 WAITERS ON CALL. On a Saturday night? At a 24 hour restaurant? Not a smart idea! 3 could have been enough. To add on to this. friends at our table had previously had this waiter and had the EXACT problem. TOO SLOW. I wish i had his name. And that was 2 months ago. Why is he still working at the same pace? Organization and staffing all starts from Management. So management derserves a big fat F.

Had a great time here tonight! Was coming back from lake with decided to get some food. It was packed for a 11 at night but hey. We had the funniest waiter, she seemed quite frazzled but keep us entertained. The food took a little longer than the normal, but I totally understand. Got a Oreo milkshake... Don't drink the whole thing before your meal you will regret it!!! Had a blast. Our waitress seemed so stoked for a ten dollar tip. She totally deserved! Way to keep her cool while under mad pressure!!!!

Always loved this place for a quick drive through meal. There used to be a woman named Shea or something like that who worked the drive thru. Most pleasant woman, always friendly, always quick and accurate. Now I go to the Drive through, and instead of "Welcome to Steak'n'Shake I'll take your order when you are ready.' Now it's 'I'll be with you in a minute. A minute turns into 2, then 3, then 5 minutes BEFORE they take your oder. So ad that it's come to this. The idea of the drive thru is to save time, but no more... Even have had my order wrong twice in the last two months. I'm rethiking.. there's a McDonald's across the street that is much busier and much quicker. Do I forgo the food I love for McDonald's? The answer is getting obvious.

My first time at a Steak n Shake. Can't say I'm that impressed. Loved the shakes. The burgers are just ok in my book. The diner approach is cute but after that novelty is gone the food isn't that great. I'd much prefer In & Out.

I've only been here on really late nights when most places are closed and I have to say its pretty good for fast food. $3.99 meal includes a burger and fries. Cheaper and tastier than most meals from Mcdonalds and Burger King. Their milk shakes are good, but probably the worst for you considering calories and sugar qty.

Shakes are AWESOME. Burgers are horrifying. Stick to the shakes. I mean, I still have nightmares about that garlic burger. Just god awful and soaked in grease. Like, imagine a nasty fast food burger that is portrayed in a movie as a joke. Think Michael Douglas in Falling Down and you will have your answer to this place.

I love their milkshakes. Fries are kind of weird. Really stringy and a little undercooked. Everything else seemed really good and the place seemed really clean

Food & Shakes are Great, Service is good, but the whole time my family and I were eating, we continuously heard the managers complaint about the staff and the missing guacamole.

Service has been awful the last few times we have gone here. You walk in and regardless of how few customers there re every table is dirty and not cleaned off. After being seated we have waited up to twenty minutes to get out order taken and easily that again before it came out. Management needs to be redone.

Worst service i have received here. Twenty minutes for food, been 25 minutes and still don't have shakes. Shift leader on duty needs to get it together.

I don't understand what happened to this place . It used to be so good . I don't ever come here anymore but I did today and was just as disposing as I was the last few times I've been here . Service was awful , managers didn't know how to do their job . I asked for a banana milkshake with Reese's and caramel and I got a banana milkshake with less than half a scoop of Reese's and chocolate syrup . Mind you the resteraunt was pretty much empty and there was no cars in the drive thru . I wouldn't have posted this on yelp except that they have such bad attitudes and this happens literally everytime I go there .

An ok place for good fast food burgers, fries and ice cream shakes! A fast food place with Dine in service! Their new jalapeño burger is good. They always have coupons! Saw a few and that gave an option to go! It is ok! Please tip the young servers if they help you.ours looked like a high school kid! :)

Great for a late night snack /shake. It's pretty much fast food or a step above so don't expect much more than that.

I spent 5 days in South Florida last week, and ate at Steak n Shake four times! Three times for lunch/dinner, once for breakfast....each time was just as good as the last. I was astonished to realize that Florida is littered with Steak n Shake franchises, as the only one I visited was five hours from home in Pittsburgh, PA. My go-to menu item is the Frisco Melt with fries, and the price is perfect for the product! I also tried a breakfast "sandwich" consisting of pancake "buns" with a sausage patty and eggs in between. Served with small potato pancakes, it was the perfect portion. Also, the fry seasoning is out of this world, make sure to overload on it every time!

Growing up in Tampa I can't remember the first time I ate at Steak n Shake. I was so glad to see them come to South Florida in 98. Good food and their always adding new choices to the menu. Great prices and pretty good service. It's a great place to go when you're not really sure what you feel like eating.

The food is very inexpensive and service at breakfast during the week is prompt and courteous but, alas, not so good on weekends at busy times. Corporate S & S would be very unhappy with how dirty the place is. The parking lot and "landscaping" in front are NEVER cleaned it seems and are litter filled. We had lunch there today and the female restroom was dirty and disgusting, one of the worst I have ever seen. There was one male teenager in a blue shirt who I presume was the manager on duty but I use the word "manager" loosely. Two tables near us very nicely asked him to check on their orders (after a VERY long wait) and he responded sharply with a litany of excuses about how hard he was working ad nauseam. They were very understaffed. Our server, Will, was pleasant and professional and apologized to us multiple times for the delay but we were in no hurry. My husband had a guacamole burger which was very good but his fries were so undercooked he could not eat them. I ordered chili mac supreme with extra meat and a shooter. For the first time ever, I received cold pasta that had no semblance of ever having been heated - it came right from the fridge. There were onions on top but no shredded cheese; the sauce consisted of a broken up hamburger and catsup. I have ordered this dish since I was a teenager in St. Louis and know how it is prepared and have had it successfully executed at this location many times. Neither my husband or myself asked for any correction to be made or any remedy since we knew today was a disaster for this location. We eat there frequently and usually there is responsible management on duty but, sadly, not today. Corporate needs to take a close look at this location, clean it up and train and place a proper manager at all times. The "manager" today was overwhelmed and clearly could not begin to cope with the lunch hour crowd. In all fairness, the food is usually good - we eat breakfast there a lot and lunch on occasion. We also use the drive-through and agree that orders are seldom accurately completed, but we prefer to cope rather than complain. We grew up on S&S in the midwest and are fiercely brand loyal. However, the GM of this location has some work to do because the place needs cleaning badly and needs extensive remedial training done for shift management.

Very poor service! Our waitress was super nice, but 30 mins for two sandwiches with fries? Then to add insult to injury, they forgot our chili and we had to ask for it twice before they brought it out - 10 minutes after we already finished our meals. They didn't even offer to take them off our bills. Why the two stars? One for the waitress because she was super nice and the other because the food itself was good.

The drive thru is fine (a little on the greasy side) but the eat in restaurant is awful. Always poor service. We waited for 5-10 minutes before we were sat and there was no one in front of us. It's bad when you can see your food sitting in the window for 10 minutes before you can get a server to bring it to your table. I never figured out who my server was because the service was so non existent. The management is just as clueless as the wait staff. After we ate, it took 30 minutes to get a shake to go. I'll be passing on this place. How this place ever got more that 1 star is beyond me.

Pretty typical Steak 'n Shake. No complaints. Cheap food of average quality. Sometimes we just need a frisco melt and mediocrity.
